We all want children to succeed and having strong reading skills are key. That’s why experts in Michigan created the Literacy Essentials: free, research-based tools to help teachers boost literacy in every classroom, every day. When used consistently, these strategies make a big difference for young readers across the state.

STRIVE for 5!

STRIVE for 5! is a fun, hands-on bootcamp for early childhood educators. It’s packed with easy, practical ideas to boost kids’ brain and language development and improve your learning environment.

The program includes five lessons filled with simple activities and tips on literacy, math, health, creativity, and social-emotional growth. You’ll also get free, downloadable resources, like posters, activity cards, and parent materials, in both English and Spanish. Finish the bootcamp and earn 20 CDA hours toward certification renewal!
