Who We Are
The Great Start Collaborative Family Coalition is a group of parents, guardians, and caregivers with children ages 0-12. They represent the voices of families, children, and communities to the Genesee Great Start Collaborative. The goal of the Family Coalition is to ensure that all families in Genesee County have access to resources and support, helping them provide a strong start for their children from pregnancy through third grade.
The Family Coalition is part of the Genesee County Great Start Collaborative, which makes local decisions and plans for Michigan’s Great Start System. This system connects parents to services that offer:
-
Basic Needs, Economic Security, and Child Safety
-
High Quality Early Care and Education
-
Parent Education and Family Support
-
Physical Health Care; including Prenatal Support
-
Social Emotional Health Care
-
Home Visiting Services
